The Gulf makes the margins thinner

Cold chain is unforgiving everywhere, but ambient temperatures above 45°C compress every tolerance. A trailer door open for a few minutes at a loading bay produces a temperature rise here that would take considerably longer in a temperate climate, and a refrigeration unit that fails in traffic gives you far less time to react.

That changes what the monitoring has to do. Alerting on threshold breach alone is too late — the useful alert is the one that fires while the load can still be saved, which means watching rate of change and door state, not just absolute temperature.

The record matters more than the alarm

Most cold chain conversations start with alerts and end with audits. What a client, an insurer or a regulator asks for is the complete temperature history of a specific consignment, months after delivery, in a form they can read.
